The owner, Ira Kramer, has over 35 years of experience in the jewelry industry. He started in sales, advanced to general manager and part owner of a small chain of jewelry stores. He then purchased The Diamond Exchange in 1982. The full service retail store was closed in 1996, after an armed robbery in the spring of that year, and a private office was opened to service clients. The office venue allows Mr. Kramer to sell to the public, as well as run the consulting aspect of his jewelry business.
Other services include estate consultation and liquidation; and the buying of diamonds in the secondary market.
Due to the nature of the consulting aspect of the Diamond Exchange, Mr. Kramer is not in the office every day… but is in phone and email contact often. If you leave a message, we promise to get back to you.

As the owner; I started after college in 1966 for small jewelry chain, moved up to store manager in 1968, and general manager in 1970. Bought my own store in 1982.
